Scheduling an Appointment
Please call our office to schedule an appointment. Due to COVID-19 protocols, we are currently seeing appointments curbside. Please call our office (253) 596-5093 and let us know you have arrived. If you have a cat, please remove anything but your kitty from the carrier prior to giving to the technician please. Also, we will ask you to remove your leash and use our provided leash on your dog prior to bringing into the hospital. The technician and Dr. Coyner will need to speak with you on the phone, so please bring a charged cell phone along with your mask.
Although not required, a referral from your regular veterinarian is recommended in order to allow Dermatology Clinic for Animals to obtain past medical records and maintain communication throughout your pet’s treatment.
The initial consultation will take 1-1.5 hours. Determining the medical history of the patient is often the most important part of the appointment, and the pet owner can enhance this part of the appointment by completing the patient history questionnaire (click on Pet Owners, then Online Forms) prior to the appointment. During the appointment, the doctor may obtain samples from your pet’s skin or ears for in-clinic microscopic analysis. Depending on initial test results, appropriate medications are prescribed and further investigation may be indicated.
